I’m happy to report that Project 31 is finally complete! I wish it only took me 31 days to complete but it took me about 50 days. This is the first photo project I’ve completed so it’s better late than never. I’ve tried Project 365 in 2008 and 2009 and failed miserably. I think the furthest I got my first year was in the early 100s. In 2009, I attempted
If we’re friends on facebook and/or twitter you’ve already seen this but one of my photos has been published in a magazine! Over spring break while I was visiting Andy in NJ, I received a message on flickr from someone at Food Network. They were wanting to use my photo Casino Pier in a special feature they were doing but needed a larger photo. Since I was out of town, I didn’t have my external hard drive with me, and I wouldn’t be able to get back to them before their deadline. I ignored the message and the several messages that followed up until the deadline. Until this morning I had forgotten all about that. I bought the June ’11 issue of Food Network’s magazine a couple weeks ago because I was attracted to the cover. I had already flipped through the magazine but this morning a photo from Seaside Heights caught my attention. “Hey, that looks like my photo!” then I noticed over in the right margin my name was credited for the photo. How exciting! I’ve had other photos show up on other websites but I’ve never seen my photo in print before. What a nice way to […]
Dear internet, I am shamelessly addicted to Pinterest! A few weeks ago Michael (thanks!) sent me an invite and I figured I would try it out. I assumed like other websites I’d lose interest after wasting a couple of hours. No such luck. I’ve been a pinning machine! (My pinterest account: geekypam) What’s the point of pinterest? It’s simply a social way to pass along cool things you find on the internet. I’ve been pinning a lot to my Dream Home board. Here are a few of my favorite photos: Clearly I’ll be living alone if my house is that feminine! Here’s where I(we?) will be entertaining guests! Also, I love coming across really creative DIY things*. For example, these Save the Date cards. Seriously, one of my friends needs to get married so we can do this! *I’m not really a crafty person but it’s nice to know I have these ideas if I ever become crafty! Vacation jars – why didn’t I think of this before?! See? It’s not all bad. And since my birthday is coming up I do have a Wishlist board in case my family needs any help! Granted there are only a couple things […]
Last year I randomly received a package from Hanson.net with a pair of Tayfarer sunglasses and a window cling. Come to find out I was the street team member of the month. Since I have prescription sunglasses I can’t wear the sunglasses and I don’t see myself putting the I ♥ Hanson cling on my car anytime soon. So instead of these items continuing to collect dust, I’m giving these two items away! Rules / Etc. 01. Comment below with which item you’d like to have and to make things fun why you love Hanson! 02. Winner will be drawn at random on July 5, 2011. I will contact the two winners within 24 hours via e-mail. Make sure the e-mail address given when commenting is one you check regularly! 03. Contest is open to residents of the United States only!
