San Fransisco sounds like it was a lot of fun. I'd love to visit and see where Harvey Milk worked and lived. I'm not exactly a history buff, but I love learning about the history of particular places when I visit them. Plus, LGBT history is something I actually AM interested in, and I'd love to get a feel for the gayborhood. It's fun to visit a place and imagine historical events occurring on the very ground you're walking on.

Your photos look great, too! That's the best part of any trip for me ;)

Thanks for the compliment on the photos!

It would have been nice if they could have kept his camera shop as a reminder of the history there but I guess the owner of the building has to make money, too. If you get the chance to come to SF you should go there, I think you would enjoy it. :-D

"Alzatraz!" Man, San Francisco will forever remind me of Eddie Izzard. Pam, I think what you've done is awesome; a road trip over Summer appeals to me much more than, say, traveling around the world for a year like some of my friends have. Good job you've taken many fab photos, too.
