Lauren, you are too kind! :)

Jacob, I have seen those polaroids. I haven't looked at all of them, it was just too sad for me to continue.

Happy New Year indeed. I think pretty much everyone is in agreement in hoping 2009 is better than 2008. :-)

I don't remember if I ever mentioned this, but http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/15131. I believe that should be motivation enough to complete Project 365 in '09 as well as in the years to come, indefinitely. It does come with a bit of a sad ending, but it was a given being that that was the goal of this guy's project. I'm just glad that his story (in pictures) finally got out online years later, because if you read any other sites on it, you'll realize how inspiring it really is.

And I see that you've picked up pamculver.com. Good choice ;) Now, go and get that going while I work on putting a first post up on mine (I'm a slow poke, I know).

Happy New Year! It's good to see your year went well, and I hope 2009 is just as good for you. Project 365 is definitely not something I'm ready for -- I think a self-portrait every day would too quickly cause me to turn my back on self-portraiture forever. A Year in Photos I can handle, though.

As for the photography website, I definitely think you should do it. You're one of my favourite people to follow on Flickr and I think your photos demonstrate your talent well enough that you don't have to worry about clients. You'll do just fine! And like you said, what's the worst that can happen?

Good luck with everything :)

Happy new year Pam! Hopefully, 2009 will be even better than 2008!

I'm not a shutter bug myself, but having a website to show off your portfolio of photography work does sound like a good idea. I guess the artist direction of the website could follow the thematic photographic interests that you may have.
